Rebecca's practice is based around illustration and print and deals with themes of fantasy, fiction and reality. Recently her work has been based upon her own ideas and imagination of what a fantasy world could look like.
 

The originality of drawing and how you cannot repeat the same images twice interests her. It allows organic lines to be created; it’s natural. The use of print in Rebecca's work allows her to experiment with size, colour and layering. The overlaying of mono-printing and silk-screen printing allows depth to be added to some pieces, and atmosphere that is harder to create through drawing, thus adding more to the image.

Escapism is key to her work; her love of books, films, anything that can capture you and entrap you in the story influences her work. Each scene illustrated, she hopes tells a story, thus allowing the viewer to conjure up their own description and narrative. Her aim is for you to get lost and escape into her imaginary worlds of adventure.
